Wynter's Haven is located in LaVale Maryland. Owner Heather Warnick has been selling homemade natural products in our area for two years. Wynter's Haven focuses on making all natural lotions, soaps, hair care products, bug spray, diffusers, hot teas, and more
Heather learned the art of making her own products from her mother and has been making them for her family for 8 years. She became serious about opening Wynter's Haven after she became pregnant with her son Wynter. Her journey into motherhood made her more conscious about the products she was using for herself and in her home. On the hunt for a more simple and natural process to household commodities, she nurtured her business, Wynter’s Haven.
On her property, she grows all the herbs that she uses for her products. She prides herself in the fact that her garden has become a bee sanctuary and is home to many woodpeckers. “Woodpeckers have become threatened in our area due to deforestation,{ she informed me, adding that her garden houses different species including, the Pileated Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Nut Hatchers, and Woodruff. While she is not certified organic, she uses no pesticides or herbicides on her land. She raises chickens and uses the waste as compost for her plants. What she cannot grow on her land, she sources locally and ethically. Her beeswax is obtained from Goodness Grows or local bee keeper Ben Cooper. If she cannot grow an herb for oil, she will source oils from Eden’s Garden Oils.
Wynter's Haven has many products including Hippie Cream, a great salve that is even a great remedy for diaper rash. If you are seeking a more natural alternative for mouth care, she offers mouth rinses and toothpaste. Her soaps are artfully crafted into shapes of bees and butterflies. In the fall, you will be able to find locally grown hand crafted hot teas.
Heather loves to share her knowledge and her passion for her products shines through in everything she sells. You can find Wynter's Haven at Allegany Farmers Markets Downtown Cumberland 9:30 am- 1:00 p.m., and Frostburg City Place 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
